In the primary stages of his changes, Jotaro's physical form remained entirely human in appearance, which initially led him to believe that he wasn't experiencing the monster transformation like everyone else, period. Unfortunately, as time wore on he came to discover that more and more strange things were occurring with him, and none of those things were adding up. He regularly found himself unusually hot to the touch with no apparent explanation, and during his first fog he found himself momentarily frozen when hit with a sunlight gun used by a monster-adoring fanatic in Bavan. He also inadvertently compelled a few random citizens of Bavan by unknowingly delivering them imperatives while making eye contact with them.
● GARGOYLE TRAITS IMPLICATED:
✓ An affinity for fire magic. Despite their weakness to sunlight, Gargoyles can create fireballs in their hands to hurl at their enemies, and can make their own skin so hot it burns to touch. Because of this magic, they are also immune to fire.
✓ Weakness to sunlight. Direct exposure will turn the gargoyle into stone (or jade, or gold, or crystal - anything statues can be made of is fair game) until the sunlight no longer touches them, either because night has fallen or because they've been covered up. They are almost indestructible in statue form, but should try to avoid being in flight when the sun rises.
✓ The ability to influence the actions of humans by giving them commands while making eye contact.
During his second fog, the majority of Jotaro's physical changes struck all at once. His skin peeled off to reveal purple-black scales beneath, and a pair of massive, leathery dragon wings began to grow out from his shoulders and center back. His hands began to form into claws covered in purple-black scales with gold triangular patterns on the backs, strangely akin to the gauntlets worn by his Stand, Star Platinum. Similarly, his taloned feet began to resemble the calf-high boots his Stand wears, also rendered in the same hued scaling as his other changes. He began to sprout a pair of thin, nubby gold horns from his head, which make it even more difficult to tell where his hat ends and his head begins. He also developed excellent night vision and the ability to fly once he'd recovered from the physical stress of his transformations, but retained the ability to walk in the sun with only brief periods of freezing up that were limited to a few seconds at a time in duration. His body temperature continued to fluctuate wildly according to his moods, though he did discover an ability to breathe fire and began to cultivate it accordingly.
● GARGOYLE TRAITS IMPLICATED:
✓ Large, scaly wings capable of flight.
✓ Lizard-like claws in place of fingernails and toenails.
✓ Scales on the upper arms, shoulders, and back.
✓ Scales on any other part of the body.
✓ Scaly, talon-like feet capable of grasping.
✓ Two horns on the head that vary in size and shape.
✓ The ability to breathe fire.
✓ Excellent night vision and sharper eyesight. Gargoyles can make out small details, even from up in the air.
With most of his major changes initiated during the previous fog, Jotaro's third fog largely consisted of development of traits that had already manifested for him. His horns continued to grow, his control over his fire magic gradually began to increase, and his weakness to sunlight came into full effect — causing him to turn into a statue of black fire opal whenever he is touched by a beam of direct sunlight. His teeth fell out and were replaced by sharp fangs, and he began to grow the beginnings of a long, reptilian tail.

Jotaro's final round of changes completed his transformation into a Stargoyle™, giving him a strong resemblance to his Stand, Star Platinum, on a regular basis. His horns achieved their full length and his tail continued to grow until it reached a length proportional to his height and wings. He became totally immune to fire and has full possession of his fire-related abiities, including full control over fluctuations in his body temperature. At this time, though his gargoyle's hunger had been minimal enough to be satiated by alternative methods of feeding over the past several months, the need for human sustenance began to grow at an exponential rate, leaving Jotaro to fight off the growing hunger as long as he possibly could before relenting to the inevitable.

✓ Hunger and hunting instinct. Gargoyles usually hunt by either directly attacking their prey or lifting them off the ground and dropping them from great heights. Hunting animals will satiate them for a short time, but the longer they go without hunting a human, the more they'll be compelled to do so until they start losing their self-control.
